Genos: the adventure continues.

Since its launch, the fabulous Genos has delighted thousands of musicians around the world. Inspired by the enthusiasm, feedback and experience of our users, we are happy to take the Genos one step further by announcing the release of version 2.0. This comprehensive update offers new performance possibilities for the Live Control section, new assignable options, user interface improvements and the ability to connect an external monitor. It reflects Yamaha’s commitment not to stand still and to continue to enrich an already incredible musical instrument. The journey is not over. A big thank you to the entire community of Genos users. Discover new features as well as new content and benefit from the optimization of existing functions thanks to version 2.0 of Genos. In order to allow you to take full advantage of the potential of your instrument, this new version increases the memory capacity dedicated to packs (Expansion Memory) and brings you new functions with in particular the Chord Looper and Style Section Reset functions, as well as a new setting rapid keyboard temperament. Version 2.0 reflects the importance that Yamaha places on user feedback so that they can get the most out of their Genos.

Increased memory expansion

The update to version 2.0 increases the capacity of the flash memory from 1.8 to 3.0 GB, allowing you to import much more content on your Genos.

GENOS V2.0 SUPERIOR PACK – New content (50 styles / 68 tones)

The GENOS V2.0 SUPERIOR PACK adds 50 new styles for the interpretation of vintage Pop and Dance music, as well as new Premium Voice SA2 tones such as “Pan Flutes”, “Female Vocals” and “Trombone”. In addition, new synth tones like the “Monolan Bass” tone, recently introduced with the PSR-SX900, are also included. With this additional content, you can indulge in the interpretation of the greatest hits of recent decades, whether it is classic pop music or the latest trending titles.

Quick installation via USB stick

The Yamaha Expansion Manager software has also been updated in conjunction with version 2.0 of the Genos. With previous versions, incremental installations were only possible via Wi-Fi. The latest version 2.6 adds support for this possibility using a USB stick. Installing expansion packs has never been easier.
