The King brand is known for its brass instruments. The first King trombone was created in 1894 by Henderson White, founder of the HN White Company, along with Thomas King, a Cleveland trombone player. With radically different designs of bore, bell, mouthpiece, a smoother and lighter slide, the King trombone was a revelation! Since its creation in 1951, the King B3 trombone has been the world's best-selling jazz trombone.
The King company is now owned by the Conn-Selmer group.
