As a complete metronome, it is able to convey rhythm through visual, auditory and tactile means. The wireless functionality allows two or more BodyBeat Syncs to operate in sync with each other, allowing for the networking of multiple units on stage, in the recording studio, band room or anywhere the precise timing of 'a performance and its performers are required.
The BodyBeat Sync can store up to 100 user presets including tempo, meter, subdivision and accent pattern. All preset information is transmitted to each synchronized unit along with the current number of bars of the active preset. If the 100 user presets don't offer enough versatility, the 'tempo map' of an entire musical score can be stored in the BodyBeat Sync via the mini USB cable.
A standard MIDI file can be used or a custom 'tempo map' can be designed through the free app on the BodyBeat Sync website. In addition, the BodyBeat Sync can be controlled by a DAW using MIDI clock via the mini USB cable. The mini USB connection is not only used to charge the BodyBeat Sync, but provides a way to always keep the device's firmware up to date.
