Antonio Vivaldi was born on March 4, 1678 in Venice. His father is a baker, barber and holds a position of violinist at the ducal chapel of San Marco. Under his guidance, the young Vivaldi was introduced to music very early on. For this little Venetian with a lively and musical spirit, with delicate health, the ecclesiastical career seemed destined. Vivaldi thus became a priest at a very young age, which fortunately left him a lot of time to write music and play his dear violin.
