THE MULTI-CHARACTER STAGE KEYBOARD, organs, pianos, electric pianos, multiple effects, 5-octave, 6-octave or 7-octave "waterfall" keyboard with weighted keyboard.

Specification

Designed so that all keyboardists can easily make it their own, YC61 features an exclusive VCM organ engine with physical drawbars, numerous direct controls, uncompromising acoustic and electric piano sounds and a true synthesis engine FM.

How do you reproduce the warm and authentic sound of an organ in a compact stage keyboard? By designing an organ motor like Yamaha, starting from scratch. Exclusive Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) technology recreates the sound and behavior of legendary high-end effects by modeling the circuits down to the original analog components. Whether you play a grand piano, an upright piano, an electric piano or other legendary sounds, YC61 offers you authentic tones whatever your musical style.

VCM ORGAN

Yamaha brings the sound of your favorite tonewheel organ to life in this powerful and compact stage keyboard. Thus, YC61 offers three characters: fresh off the production line, with kilometers on the clock or with a strong character. Need more? Go under the hood to adjust key click, crosstalk, rotary speaker speeds and more to achieve the unique organ sound you are looking for.

VCM ROTARY SPEAKER

YC61 recreates the authentic sound of classic rotary speaker speakers - without having to move and maintain them! Choose from two faithfully reproduced speaker models, with a clean, round sound or a more aggressive sound, and adjust the speed of the upper or lower rotors for total control.

VCM EFFECTS

Yamaha VCM modeling technology recreates the sound and behavior of legendary effects and high-end studio signal processors by modeling the circuitry down to the original analog components.

FM ORGANS
In 1983, Yamaha unveiled the innovative sounds of FM synthesis (frequency modulation) with the launch of the DX7. Now, YC61 is using this FM synthesis in an organ engine for a new generation of musicians. Simply select FM Organ and your drawbars control 8 FM operators that send out pure tone with massive bass. Add rotary speaker cabinet modeling or amp simulation to fine-tune its character, with the intuitive controls making it easy to discover new sounds. You can also recreate all the classic tones of hot, fat, or scaly transistor organs by choosing one of the three popular FM organ modes.

YC61 offers several high-end concert grand pianos, including the Yamaha CFX and the Yamaha S700. These pianos offer awe-inspiring expressiveness and dynamics thanks to meticulous recording and programming.

(CFX)

With over 17 years of development, the Yamaha CFX is our flagship 2m75 concert grand. The CFX is characterized by chiseled highs, powerful bass with incredible dynamics, and the throwing power needed to perform alongside a symphony orchestra.

(S700)

The S700 is a handcrafted grand piano by Yamaha master craftsmen. He knows how to get out of a mix containing dense arrangements while remaining delicate and expressive in the refined arrangements. The S700 is one of the grand piano tones popularized by the S90ES stage synthesizer.

(C7)

It is one of the most recorded pianos around the world: the Yamaha C7 is renowned for fitting perfectly into a mix while maintaining all its power and clarity.

(U1)

The U1 model is the world's most popular upright piano. The YC61's U1 piano has the typical tone of a lively upright piano. This makes it perfect for any music requiring the character and sound of an upright piano under completely realistic conditions.

(Genuine FM pianos)

Powered by the same kind of technology that made the DX7 famous, the 8-operator FM synthesis engine enables dynamics and behavior that cannot be reproduced with samples.

(Yamaha CP80)

In 1976 and 1978, Yamaha introduced the CP70 and CP80 electroacoustic pianos to offer musicians a grand piano sound that could sound on stage, within an amplified music group. The YC61's CP80 sound is muscular, with unparalleled dynamics.

(78 Rd)

The 78 Rd electromechanical piano offers a wide dynamic range and perfect quality. It is very suitable for processing and effects, and is suitable for all styles of music.

(75 Rd)

The sound of 75 Rd is dirtier and more marked, ideal for music that requires character.

(73 Rd)

The 73 Rd is bolder and warmer. Perfect for ballads and vocal pianos.

(Wr)

The Wr slatted electric pianos display distinct vintage or modern characters, with realism and expressiveness in common.

Yamaha puts everything the company has learned over the past 100 years into everything you touch. With an exclusive keyboard designed to give the YC61 perfect action, in particular thanks to working with many musicians all over the world, the sensations are what one would expect from a real organ.

This semi-weighted keyboard with a waterfall profile developed exclusively for YC61 allows you to rediscover all the sensations of organ playing with its specific techniques, while offering excellent playability with all types of sounds, whether they require a wide dynamic response like the pianos or a very fast rebound like synthesizers.
