Specification

The B Arabian Night is the scale that will fill you with Middle Eastern flair. Get the feeling of the rustling sand of deserted nights filled with the sickly sweet taste or the 1001 Night Tales.

The scale reproduces the Arabic Maqam - the traditional system of melodic modes and improvisation techniques. The Arabian Night range has its own very specific voice which differs from the rest of the RAV drums (although it may have sonic similarities to B Onoleo). The languages are tuned in 2nd, 3rd and 4th octave with the central Ding in B2. The B Arabian Night is not a versatile range but it adds a very unique flavor to your playing.

This stage can be tricky for a beginner, but advanced players will find it captivating as it has many half stages and is more open when you play. It's one of the most popular ranges for recording music videos and it's definitely good for meditative play.

The name of this RAV Vast means the famous Arabic scale or the double harmonic in B minor (the name that you will come across most in the Western tradition) is very typical of the music of the Middle East but can seem unusual if you do not know it no. You can also find this scale called Gypsy Major because of the increased gaps between the notes of the 2nd and 3rd octave.

The B Arabian Night RAV Vast has a very mysterious voice and is close to the jazz scales. What makes this scale different from other scales in the Middle East? The Arabian Night may seem to have similarities to another RAV Vast scale - the B Onoleo. But the B Onoleo has a lot of resolution and allows you to easily close the melody. With Arabian Night, you will need to know the tricks to tie the phrases you play together.

There is a good tip for playing B Arabian Night. The 3 highest notes bring the unique atmosphere of this scale. However, if you skip the reading of the F4 note, you will have a bit more resolution. You can start adding F4 to your playing when you feel a bit more confident and get a sound that is quite similar to the traditional Arabic maqam.

Who this scale will work for

Looking for a harmonic minor scale while choosing from the various RAV Vast drums available for sale? So, there is no doubt that the B Arabian Night will steal your heart. However, keep in mind that the B Arabian Nights is a difficult scale because it has a lot of semitones. Avoiding dissonance while playing semitones is a big puzzle for any musician. But the Arabian night really does magic because the semitones do not cause negative crosstalk on this scale.

Playing it requires skill, so this scale will appeal to intermediate or advanced players when choosing a RAV Vast scale.

This is just the perfect scale for meditation due to its calming little sound. Take a seat and let the scale hypnotize you and bring your mind to a more relaxed state.

Arabic scale

What makes Middle Eastern music so recognizable? All thanks to the Arab scale. Although this is a traditional scale that has come to us from ancient times, it is widely used in rock, hip-hop, pop, and electronic music by oriental artists today.

However, the Arab scale is not only used in the Middle East. There are several compositions of Western classical music that you would never have thought of using this scale. The relative Hungarian gypsy scale was commonly used by Franz Liszt in his Hungarian Rhapsody and Bizet's Battle of the Huns and Carmen.
