Ernie Ball Music Man Dark Ray - Roasted Maple / Ebony - Starry Night

Flagship of Music Man, the current StingRay Special is the same as it was forty years ago and therefore benefits from a serious manufacture, a solid hardened steel bridge, a roasted maple neck, Lightweight tuners and the famous Music Man humbucker. All of these combined gives you a look, feel and sound that are remarkably unique. The DarkRay model offered here is also equipped with a Darkglass Alpha (Distortion) or Omega (Fuzz) preamp. The two distortion circuits are fully mixable via a built-in gain knob and a blend control manipulated to user preference. Astonishingly clear sound, slight gain or brutal fuzz sound can be achieved, all without loss of low frequencies. An illuminated LED ring and 3-position toggle switch indicate which mode the bass is in.
