The specialist's opinion
On January 30, 1969, the Beatles gave an unexpected concert on the roof of the Apple Corps headquarters at 3 Savile Row in London.
It was to be their last "public" performance, although only a few spectators could actually see the group.
The concert has since become known as "The Rooftop Concert". The Höfner 500/1 Rooftop Bass is a tribute to this historic instrument and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, the iconic BASSMAN sticker and a matching Höfner case. It is made in the workshops of Hagenau, Germany and receives a subtle vintage finish. The Rooftop Bass features black nylon tape wrapped strings with the legendary "uncut" gold ends.
