The LTD Black Metal series is comparable in build quality to the LTD Deluxe "1000 Series" instruments, but with a dark and ominous design theme of all-black finish, components and hardware, a single premium pickup, black metal fingerboards.
Macassar ebony with no inlays or glow-in-the-dark side markers, and even a new black metal LTD logo.
The F-4 Black Metal takes the sculpted and streamlined style of the F-series and presents it in the evil design theme of the Black Metal series with a 35-inch scale thru-neck construction (perfect for a brutal tuning) , extra-thin three-piece U-shaped maple neck and mahogany body. Other highlights include 24 stainless steel frets, black mesh on the neck and head, stainless steel frets, Grover tuners, a Gotoh bridge and a single active Fishman Fluence SB-1 pickup with an accessible single coil mode via a push-pull on the volume control.
