Crafted with an X-braced solid spruce top and sapele back and sides, the Newporter Player's medium-sized auditorium body produces a versatile voice that's both articulate and powerful, while offering a comfortable feel for hours of inspiration.
The nato neck is designed with an easy-to-play "C"-shaped profile, a 25.5-inch scale length and a backward-sloping 6-in-line headstock for a distinctive look derived from Fender's electric guitar DNA. Other notable details include vintage-style tuners for smooth, accurate tuning, a GraphTech® NuBone® headstock saddle and bridge saddle for detailed harmonic character. The built-in Fishman® Flex preamplifier system faithfully reproduces the guitar's natural sound when plugged into an amplifier or recording device.
