This amp has two independent tremolo circuits, Harmonic and Bias tremolo. The harmonic tremolo, unlike the bias tremolo which modulates the output volume, modulates the upper and lower frequencies separately, at the same rate, but phase-shifted from each other. There is no actual change in overall volume or pitch, but the false Doppler effect created by the phase shift between high and low frequencies makes it sound like a mixture of the two. The result is incredible, but very complex to achieve. Three preamp tubes are required for the system to work. The two tremolos can be used simultaneously or independently, giving the player a myriad of tonal options, and they are both switchable.
