The specialist's opinion
a robotic vocoder sound that mixes guitar and vocals.
The effect that is widespread today, especially on the electronic scene, is very easy to learn since you can directly connect the pedal to the microphone track of your sound system via the dedicated XLR output.
Specification
In addition to its talkbox function, the TC Helicon Talkbox Synth can also be used to simply improve the rendering of a song via 3 reverbs (Hall, Club and Room), a pitch corrector and an Adaptive Tone function which automatically adjusts the microphone parameters for a better rendering of the voice.
A very complete talkbox!
In order to use the Talkbox Synth, you will need to hook up a guitar and a microphone. The talkbox effect itself can be configured in 4 modes: Classic, Classic +, Modern and Modern +. The first two offer a sound inspired by the great classics of the genre while the other two focus on a more funky tone, tending more towards the very robotic vocoder. For their part, three high quality reverbs will add thickness to your sound, depending on your needs. Finally, the pitch corrector can help you reach the most difficult notes as precisely as possible. At the level of the pure and hard guitar, the input and output circuit ensures a faithful transmission of your original sound from the pedal to your amp!
