Motu Midi Express XT midi interface
Item No. : 152239
The specialist's opinion
Designed on the technological basis of MOTU ™ MIDI interfaces, the MIDI Express XT is a professional interface and SMPTE synchronizer with a "plug-and-play" connection for any computer running Mac OS or Windows equipped with a USB socket.
Specification
The Express XT has 8 MIDI inputs and 9 MIDI outputs for 128 MIDI channels, and is compatible with all software for Mac OS and Windows. It also includes 16 presets (8 from the factory and 8 programmable) accessible directly on the front panel of the interface by a simple button.
The Express XT comes with ClockWorks ™ software, for Mac OS and Windows, which will allow you to easily do your MIDI routing, merging and muting.
As a professional SMPTE time code synchronizer, the Express XT converts and calibrates the SMPTE in all formats: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 '' drop and non-drop '' and 30. The SMPTE option ' 'Jam Sync' in Freewheeling mode also allows greater synchronization stability in order to avoid stalls.
The express XT also supports the MIDI Machine Control (MMC) format with the possibility of being either '' master '' or '' slave '' in MMC. It can, moreover, distribute the MMC transport commands to all the peripherals which are connected to it.
You can easily connect a footswitch to the front of the interface and program it to generate MIDI events. The data will be transmitted to any connected device. You can, for example, send MIDI patch changes to your synthesizers or sound modules in concert.
The MIDI Express XT takes full advantage of the USB connection for fast and secure transfer - precision down to the sub milli-second - of MIDI data, it supports "hot-plugging" and "plug-and-play" operations . Need more MIDI I / O? No problem! Simply add another MIDI Express XT to a free USB port.
As with most MOTU ™ MIDI and audio interfaces, the MIDI Express XT features an AC power supply with automatic voltage selection of 115 / 220V.
