Akai made his interesting sound at NAMM 2012 (the musicians' show) with the revelation of three MPCs.
After the Renaissance, here is the Studio model.
Specification
Unlike the Renaissance which is a real '' suite '' of the MPC series, the MPC Studio is above all a USB controller even if Akai has added a real dedicated MPC software and 6 GB of sounds. The audio qualities of the beast will therefore depend on the software engine but also on the audio cards used.
The MPC Renaissance claims to be compatible with most current DAWs and a bunch of plug-ins. We can therefore also immediately bury the MPD series… Finally, we will note its attractive design and the finesse of the machine which makes it totally mobile.
