Sinfonietta pour orchestre à cordes
Item No. : 194625
The specialist's opinion
About the Sinfonietta This work is quite symptomatic of my way of writing: a string orchestra that I use in the most traditional way possible.
No mute, glissandi effect .
.. The ideas, the way the work works are classic. The first movement is an Allegro in the form of a sonata, the second a Scherzo with a single theme. The third movement is much more developed: it is an Adagio whose exhibition was originally intended for a Ballad for viola and orchestra. There remains the theme of the viola at the beginning. As for the Finale, it is built in the shape of a rondo. Jean Balissat
