The specialist's opinion
The French composer Julien Falk (1902-1987) was a famous professor of composition at the Paris Conservatory.
He wrote many popular theoretical works of music, including the Complete and Progressive Technique of Harmony.
Compiled in 1969, the first volume of Falk's Complete and Progressive Harmony Technique deals with vocal registers, the realization of the numbered bass, the rules for writing choirs and the most ideal chord progressions. In addition, the Complete and Progressive Technique of Harmony includes examples of homework that have been explained and corrected, commenting on how they could have been improved. Falk's Theory Guide to Harmony is essential for all musicians pursuing advanced musical studies in harmony.
