The transcriptions for cello and piano were made by Giacomo Fossa, the edition of the solo part was entrusted to Sandro Laffranchini, first cellist of the Teatro alla Scala orchestra.
In addition to compositions that the composer wrote expressly for the cello, such as the '' Preludio '' by I masnadieri, the '' Entertainment '' by Nabucco rediscovered in 2021, the '' Scherzo '' of the string quartet in E minor and the solo of "Ella giammai m'amò", we find transcriptions of opera arias and the album sheet dedicated to Francesco Florimo, works that lend themselves particularly well to a performance on the cello.
