The MODAL Electronics COBALT8X is an 8-voice polyphonic virtual analog synthesizer with 64 oscillators (8 per voice), a 4-pole morphable load filter and a sound palette that extends from classic analog sounds to original soundscapes.
If desired, the known and popular waveforms of legendary analog synthesizers can indeed be modulated by 40 different algorithms such as cross modulation, PWM, morphing, bit crushing, etc.
and thus be distorted to produce entirely new sounds. The 61 dynamic keys with aftertouch allow you to play the sounds thus created in a particularly expressive way.
