Instrument very well for initiation to reed instruments such as the clarinet or the saxophone.
It is played with a standard clarinet mouthpiece and also the fingering of the recorder.
Its range is not very large (from C to D one octave higher) but is sufficient for small pieces and for the discovery of the wind instrument. The pear tree brings a round and warm tone.
